“A Body Broken – A Communion Restored”

1Cor. 11:23 ¶ For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a loaf of bread,

1Cor. 11:24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

What did Jesus want us to remember as we partake of “His body?”

(Forgive a little cut off at the beginning and a jump towards the middle of this devotion – we are breaking in a new and much improved audio setup and are having a few jitters – hang in there with us!)

This may help with the cut out section:

Matt. 16:13 ¶ Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”

Matt. 16:14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, but others Elijah, and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

Matt. 16:15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

Matt. 16:16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
