“A Shield About Me – Head Lifted, Feet Below”

Psa. 3:3 ¶  But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head.

Eph. 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us

Eph. 2:5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—

Eph. 2:6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

1Pet. 1:6 In this you rejoice, even if now for a little while you have had to suffer various trials,

1Pet. 1:7 so that the genuineness of your faith—being more precious than gold that, though perishable, is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

The shield about us – what it is, what it isn’t, and what it does and doesn’t protect from are the questions of the ages. Does our theme from Psalms help with answers?
