John 3:27 John answered, “No one can receive anything except what has been given from heaven.

John 3:29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice. For this reason my joy has been fulfilled.
John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.”
In these days where we have been forced to re-identify our mission & how we may accomplish it, we look to Jesus’ first disciple. We may find what we need to encourage us, inform us, & hopefully convict us that, although distanced from each other & those we are called to reach, that, as in the case with the Baptist, Jesus is certainly not distanced from us.
