“‘I Have Told You’ – The Father, the Son, & the Other Sheep”

John 10:24 So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”

John 10:25 Jesus answered, “I have told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name testify to me;

John 10:4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.

John 10:16 I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.

John tells us that they don’t believe – Only 1 thing stands in their way to belief that He is the Anointed One. Sheep need the Shepherd – They have come to believe that they do not need Him, why?  They have substituted the law & their own righteousness for His so they have no need for Him.  Everyone who comes to believe that they need the Messiah, comes to believe that He is the Messiah.  Messiah comes to seek & to save those who are lost & finds those who claim to believe in Him the most, not needing Him for salvation.

They won’t recognize Him as Messiah because of how He treats people, especially the “other sheep.”

Did you ever stop to wonder that when He said this what “others” would mean?
